server error logs no clues

this fs.cgi is just causing mysql to eat entire cpu and site crashing over and over.

fs.log is 32GB in size? just the log?

If there's no errors in fs.log - it's safe to delete it.

Thanks for replies, we will delete this but i think it will just grow again.

Since this is a critical problem for our site i will write all details in hope someone can have an idea how to fix it

1. the site starts getting a lot of wrong ip errors for people

2. so we remove the nginx line of code and that allows download from any ip

3. for some reason this then allows even free users to download many files at the same time. So we change the setting instead of delay per 100mb of data... to a delay between files of 15 mins. This seems to stop free users downloading anything they like. Some reason at the moment this only works for free users registered users seem to not be able to download because their time does not go down.

4. we notice in the xfs stats that BW usages goes x100 in one day, however server mrtg graphs show less usage. also lots of emails from person saying they downloaded 1 x 100meg file and tried another file and got the message sorry you already downloaded 10gig today. It seems that the script is thinking some files are truely massive when they are not.

5. the main server crashed from root filling with error logs from mysql.

6. sibsoft find a bug and fix it.

7. BW goes to normal again but still people says they exceeded their limits and not downloaded much

8. Now cpu going to 100% and crashing from mysql usage, caused by fs.cgi cpu never been about 8% before this, in one day sticking to 100% for hours and crashing.

9 Fs.log growing huge in size.

any one from reading these chronological steps can think of what to do next?

anyone know an expert for xfs who can be paid to fix thing at once.
we email sibsoft and told them we will pay for then to find and fix this, however we know are busy at the moment and perhaps cant fit this in before the weekened.

What alternative xfs experts are there that could possibly fix this issue? perhaps need some DB skills since maybe the bug has caused something db related to go mad.

ip2files - can this be emptied or even disabled temp and then rebuilt from scratch?

Anyone had something like this before? site only small so cant be usual load and cpu only on 8 % before and now 100% in a day so not site normal growth problems.
