XFileSharing Pro - XFilesharing Pro 2.1 is available

XFilesharing Pro was recently updated to version 2.1, you can check it on demo site xfilesharing.com.

We're still doing some minor tweaks as we're keep getting reports from people who installed it first. So, if you have live site - you'd better to wait a week.

Feel free to report any problems here or through ticket system.

My Initial Observations:
1) I cannot see an upload to folder option nor do I see a setting to enable it. This was the only reason I decided to update.

Update: I see it now under additional options on the form upload, it would be nice to have this option for all upload methods.

2) My previous image problem that I made a topic about (thumbnail generation) has now gotten worse, every thumbnail that doesn't generate right away is now just the default blue box where as before they wouldn't display in the upload results but were actually there so if I output them they would show properly, they now show as blue boxes on folder export

Update: I have talk to SibSoft support and they have confirmed that this issue has been fixed in the latest version of 2.1. The issue was to do with the anti-dupe system and the handling of existing files with the flash uploader. They didn't think there was an issue because it worked properly with the form uploader.

3) Saving settings always overwrites:

To be disabled. This option is required to be enabled in order to have thumbnails output when exporting folder code. This problem existed in version 2.0 as well, I had to manually set this option to be able to get thumbnails to output with folder code. I have submitted a ticket for this bug.

Update: This issue can be fixed by modifying line 3252 in index.cgi to read
if($c->{m_i} && $file->{file_name}=~/\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp)$/i)
instead of
if($c->{image_mod} && $file->{file_name}=~/\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp)$/i)

I have passed this information on to Sibsoft support so hopefully they will add it to the latest distro for anyone experiencing difficulties with this.

4) I was forced to manually create a "logs" folder before I was able to access my site without error that I didn't have before with version 2.0

H12, your problems are not related to 2.1 release, as you were experiencing them on 2.0. You'd better contact support about that.

If someone will try to load your site in iframe (for example, in order to set user affiliate cookie) - it will be opened in a new window.

Is this version 2.1 stable and free of vulnerabilities now ?

We would suggest to wait few more days, so minor bugs will be fixed.
There's no known vulnerabilities in 2.1 and there was no critical security issues in 2.0.
